Our Story
Pro-Tech Contracting, LLC has been serving Vermont homeowners since 1993. Owner Larry Paap founded the company with a single goal: make home renovation less painful. Too many Vermont homeowners were going over budget, running past deadlines, and getting left with incomplete work. Larry set out to change that with transparent planning, honest pricing, and a crew that stays on-site from first day to final walkthrough.
Over 30 years and 500+ completed projects later, Pro-Tech serves Burlington and eight surrounding Vermont counties — Addison, Caledonia, Grand Isle, Franklin, Lamoille, Orleans, Essex, and Washington. Our team handles 20+ services across residential and commercial properties: kitchen and bathroom remodeling, roofing, siding, painting, drywall, deck services, home additions, insurance restoration, and more.
Every project starts with a detailed written plan and itemized estimate. Every job ends with a thorough walkthrough. We hold a 2-year labor warranty on all work, an A− BBB rating, and five-star Google Reviews. We don't consider a project complete until you're satisfied.

Founder & Owner
Larry Paap
Larry founded Pro-Tech Contracting in 1993 with the goal of building a contractor Vermont homeowners could trust. In 50+ years of experience, he has overseen 500+ projects across nine Vermont counties — from single-room repairs to full historic barn restorations. Larry is an affiliate member of Vermont Realtors and holds comprehensive general liability and workers' compensation insurance. Pro-Tech's painting crew delivers high-quality interior and exterior finishes for residential and commercial projects throughout Vermont. Every job starts with meticulous surface preparation — drop cloths, masking, and surface repair before any paint is applied. From single rooms to multi-story commercial exteriors, our team uses Pro-Tech's 60-foot JLG lift and premium materials to ensure a finish that lasts seasons, not months.
